Hadith 10:259
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Bishr bin Mufaddal narrated to us, from Siwar, he said: Abu Thumamah narrated to us, and his wife is from our people, that Kinanah bin al-Salt had a wife, and she had borne him children during the Jahiliyyah. He said to her, "What is above your waist-wrapper is forbidden [to me]." She disputed with him before al-Ash'ari. He [al-Ash'ari] said, "Did you intend divorce by what you said?" He said, "Yes." He said, "Then she has become separated from you."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال نا بشر بن مفضل عن سوار قال نا أبو ثمامة وامراته من أهلنا أن كنانة بن الصلت كانت عنده امرأة وقد ولدت له اولادا في الجاهلية فقال لها ما فوق نطاقك محرر فخاصمته إلى الأشعري فقال أردت بما قلت الطلاق قال نعم قال فقد أبناها منك
