Hadith 10:261
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Waki’ narrated to us, from ‘Abd al-Malik ibn Muslim al-Hanafi, from ‘Isa ibn Hattan, from Zabban ibn Sabra al-Hanafi, that he was sitting in the gathering of his people, and he took a date pit and said: "A date pit is divorced, a date pit is divorced," three times. He said: So he was brought to ‘Ali, and he said: "What did you intend?" He said: "I intended my wife." He said: "So he separated them."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال نا وكيع عن عبد الملك بن مسلم الحنفي عن عيسى بن حطان عن زبان بن صبرة الحنفي أنه كان جالسا في مجلس قومه فأخذ نواة فقال نواة طالق نواه طالق ثلاثا قال فرفع إلى علي فقال ما نويت قال نويت امرأتي قال ففرق بينهما
