Hadith 10:347
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ibn Numayr narrated to us, from Abd al-Malik, from Ata, regarding a man who says to another man: "Go and divorce so-and-so [woman] on my behalf." He said: It is permissible. If he divorces, it is valid.
