Hadith 10:370
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ali bin Mushir narrated to us, from Isma'il, from al-Sha'bi, from Masruq, who said: I do not care whether I gave my wife the choice [of divorce] once, or a hundred times, or a thousand times, as long as she chooses me. I went to 'Aisha and asked her about that, and she said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) gave us the choice, and we chose him. Was that a divorce?
حدثنا أبو بكر قال نا علي بن مسهر عن إسماعيل عن الشعبي عن مسروق قال ما أبالي خيرت امرأتي واحدة أو مائة أو ألفا بعد أن تختارني ولقد أتيت عائشة فسالتها عن ذلك فقالت قد خيرنا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم فاخترناه أفكان طلاقا
