Hadith 10:387
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Isma'il ibn 'Ayyash narrated to us, from al-Muthanna, from 'Amr ibn Shu'ayb, from his father, from his grandfather, that 'Umar ibn al-Khattab and 'Uthman ibn 'Affan said: "Any man who gives his wife possession of her own affair and gives her the choice, and they separate from that gathering without her having initiated anything in it, then her affair returns to her husband."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال نا إسماعيل بن عياش عن المثنى عن عمرو بن شعيب عن أبيه عن جده أن عمر بن الخطاب وعثمان بن عفان قالا أيما رجل ملك امرأته أمرها وخيرها فافترقا من ذلك المجلس فلم تحدث فيه شيئا فأمرها إلى زوجها
