Hadith 10:401
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abu Dawud narrated to us, from Jarir ibn Hazim, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid, who said: Ibn Mas’ud said: If a man gives his wife a choice [regarding divorce], and she stands up from her sitting place, then there is no matter for her [i.e., the choice is void]. If he takes her back [revokes the choice] before she chooses, then there is nothing [i.e., no divorce has occurred].
حدثنا أبو بكر قال نا أبو داود عن جرير بن حازم عن بن أبي نجيح عن مجاهد قال قال بن مسعود إذا خير الرجل امرأته فقامت من مجلسها فلا أمر لها فإن ارتجع فيها قبل أن تختار فلا شيء
