Hadith 10:408
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Waki’ narrated to us, he said: Jarir ibn Hazim narrated to us, from al-Zubayr, from ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Ali ibn Yazid ibn Rukanah, from his father, from his grandfather, that he divorced his wife irrevocably (al-battah). He came to the Prophet and asked him. He (the Prophet) said: "What did you intend by it?" He said: "One." He said: "By Allah, you did not intend by it except one?" He said: "By Allah, I did not intend by it except one." He said: "So he returned her to him."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال نا وكيع قال نا جرير بن حازم عن الزبير عن عبد الله بن علي بن يزيد بن ركانة عن أبيه عن جده أنه طلق امرأته البتة فأتى النبي فسأله فقال ما أردت بها فقال واحدة قال آلله ما أردت بها إلا واحدة قال آلله ما أردت بها إلا واحدة قال فرد عليه
