Hadith 10:423
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abu Khalid al-Ahmar narrated to us, from Yahya ibn Sa'id, he said: Abu Bakr said: Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz asked me about "al-battah" (the irrevocable divorce), so I said to him: "Indeed, Aban ibn Uthman used to say it is one." Umar said: "If the divorce were a thousand, 'al-battah' would not leave anything of it."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال نا أبو خالد الأحمر عن يحيى بن سعيد قال قال أبو بكر سالني عمر بن عبد العزيز عن البتة فقلت له إن أبان بن عثمان كان يقول هي واحدة فقال عمر لو كان الطلاق ألفا ما أبقت البتة منه شيئا
