Hadith 10:528
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Waki’ narrated to us, from Hisham, from Yahya ibn Abi Kathir, from Abu Salamah, he said: Nufay’ narrated to us that he was a slave and he had a free woman under him, so he divorced her twice. He asked Uthman and Zayd, and they both said: Her divorce is the divorce of a slave, and her waiting period (‘iddah) is the waiting period of a free woman.
