Hadith 10:547
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Isma'il ibn 'Ulayyah narrated to us, from Ayyub, from Ibn Sirin, who said: I was informed that 'Abd al-Rahman saw a woman and she pleased him, so he asked about her. They said: "This is a slave girl belonging to so-and-so." So he bought her for four thousand. And it turned out she had a husband, so he gave him one hundred dirhams on the condition that he divorce her, but he refused. He increased it for him, but he refused, until he reached five hundred, but he refused. So he returned her to him.
حدثنا أبو بكر قال نا إسماعيل بن علية عن أيوب عن بن سيرين قال نبئت أن عبد الرحمن رأى امرأة فأعجبته فسأل عنها قالوا هذه امة لفلان فاشتراها بأربعة آلاف وإذا لها زوج فأعطاه مائة درهم على أن يطلقها فأبى فزاده فأبى حتى بلغ خمسمائة فأبى فردها عليه
