Hadith 10:610
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abu Khalid al-Ahmar narrated to us, from Ibn Salim, from al-Sha'bi, who said: If a man says to his wife, "You are to me like the back of my mother if I approach you," then if he approaches her, the *zihar* (injurious assimilation) takes effect. And if he leaves her for four months, she becomes separated from him by *ila* (vow of abstinence).
حدثنا أبو بكر قال نا أبو خالد الأحمر عن بن سالم عن الشعبي قال إذا قال الرجل لأمرأته أنت علي كظهر أمي إن قربتك فإن قربها وقع الظهار وإن تركها أربعة أشهر بانت منه بالإيلاء
