Hadith 10:617
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Kathir ibn Hisham narrated to us, from Ja’far, who said: I said to Abd al-Karim: "It has reached me that al-Zuhri used to say: 'The *mubara'ah* (mutual release) is the most severe of divorces.'" He said: "We do not view it, when he takes something from her by which she ransomed herself, as anything other than the status of *khul’* (divorce initiated by the wife)."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال نا كثير بن هشام عن جعفر قال قلت لعبد الكريم بلغني أن الزهري كان يقول المبارأة اشد الطلاق قال ما نراه إذا أخذ منها شيئا افتدت به إلا بمنزلة الخلع
