Hadith 10:676
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ibn Fudayl narrated to us, from Abd al-Malik, from Ata, regarding the man and the woman who are polytheists and then they both embrace Islam. He said: Their marriage remains established. If one of them embraces Islam before the other, what is between them is severed. He means by that the Magians and the polytheists who are not People of the Scripture.
حدثنا أبو بكر قال نا بن فضيل عن عبد الملك عن عطاء في الرجل والمرأة يكونان مشركين فيسلمان قال يثبت نكاحهما فإن أسلم أحدهما قبل الآخر انقطع ما بينهما يعني بذلك المجوس والمشركين غير أهل الكتاب
