Hadith 10:766
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Hushaym narrated to us, from Yunus and Mansur, from al-Hasan, and Hajjaj, from 'Ata: Regarding the woman who seeks khul' (divorce initiated by the wife), the divorce of her husband does not fall upon her as long as she is in a waiting period (iddah) from him, for she is irrevocably divorced.
