Hadith 10:828
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abu Usama narrated to us, from Mujalid, from al-Sha'bi, from Masruq, who said: "When four months have passed in *ila'* (oath of abstention), it becomes a *ba'in* (irrevocable) divorce." So I informed Shurayh of Masruq's statement, and he agreed with it.
حدثنا أبو بكر قال نا أبو أسامة عن مجالد عن الشعبي عن مسروق قال إذا مضت أربعة أشهر في الإيلاء كانت تطليقة بائنة فأخبرت شريحا بقول مسروق فقال به
