Hadith 10:833
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ibn ‘Uyaynah narrated to us, from Mansur, from Ibrahim, from ‘Alqamah, who said: Ibn Anas swore an oath [of abstention] regarding his wife, and she remained [waiting] for six months. While he was sitting in the assembly, he remembered, so he came to Ibn Mas‘ud and said: "Inform her that she has taken possession of her own affair." So he went to her and informed her. She said: "Then your family refused, and I shall give her a ratl [as a dowry]."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال نا بن عيينة عن منصور عن إبراهيم عن علقمة قال آلى بن انس من امرأته فلبثت ستة أشهر فبينما هو جالس في المجلس إذ ذكر فأتى بن مسعود فقال أعلمها أنها قد ملكت أمرها فأتاها فأخبرها فقالت فأبى أهلك وأصدقها رطلا
