Hadith 10:901
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abu al-Ahwas narrated to us, from Simak ibn Harb, from Umayrah, from Umm Atiyyah, who said: Jubayr said to his wife, "Breastfeed my brother's son along with your son." She said, "I cannot breastfeed two." He said, so he swore an oath that he would not approach her until she weaned him. She said: When they weaned him, he passed by the gathering, and the people said, "How well you have nourished him!" He said: So Jubayr said, "I had sworn an oath that I would not approach her until she weaned him." She said: The people said, "This is *ila* (a vow of abstinence)." Ali said to him, "If you did that out of anger, then your wife is not lawful for you; otherwise, she is your wife."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال نا أبو الأحوص عن سماك بن حرب عن عميرة عن أم عطية قالت قال جبير لأمرأته ارضعي بن أخي مع ابنك فقالت ما استطيع أن أرضع اثنين قال فحلف أن لا يقربها حتى تفطمه قال فلما فطموه مر به على المجلس فقال القوم حسن ما غذوتموه قال فقال جبير إني حلفت أن لا أقربها حتى تفطمه قال فقال القوم هذا إيلاء فقال له علي إن كنت فعلت ذلك غضبا فلا تحل لك امرأتك وإلا فهي امرأتك
