Hadith 10:91
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Waki' narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Muhammad ibn al-Munkadir, from the one who heard Tawus say: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "There is no divorce except after marriage, and there is no emancipation before ownership."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال نا وكيع عن سفيان عن محمد بن المنكدر عمن سمع طاوسا يقول قال قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم لا طلاق إلا بعد نكاح ولا عتق قبل ملك
