Hadith 10:970
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Humayd narrated to us, from Hasan, from Mutarrif, from al-Sha'bi, who said: If a man divorces his wife and has not specified a dowry for her, and has not consummated the marriage with her, he is compelled to provide her with a gift of consolation (mut'ah).
