Hadith 10:995
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abd al-A’la narrated to us, from Yunus, from al-Hasan, he said: People used to give *mut’ah* (a gift of consolation upon divorce). Among them were those who would give a servant, and among them were those who would give two hundred [dirhams]. And among them were those who would give a coat of mail, a head covering, and a wrapper, and among them were those who would give maintenance.
حدثنا أبو بكر قال نا عبد الأعلى عن يونس عن الحسن قال كان الناس يمتعون فمنهم من يمتع بالخادم ومنهم من كان يعطي المائتين ومنهم من كان يعطي الدرع والخمار والملحفة ومنهم من كان يعطي النفقة
