Hadith 15:128
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abu Mu'awiyah narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from Abu Salih, from Jabir, who said: We were with the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and he asked for a drink. A man said, "Shall we not give you nabidh (a drink made from soaked dates or raisins) to drink?" He said, "Yes." The man went out running and came with a cup containing nabidh. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Could you not have covered it, even if by placing a stick across it?"
حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا أبو معاوية عن الأعمش عن أبي صالح عن جابر قال كنا مع النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فاستسقى فقال رجل ألا نسقيك نبيذا قال بلى فخرج الرجل يشتد فجاء بقدح فيه نبيذ فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ألا خمرته ولو أن تعرض عليه عودا
