Hadith 15:262
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Waki’ narrated to us, from Isma’il bin Abi Khalid, from ‘Uthman bin Qays, who said: I went out with Jarir on the day of Jumu’ah to a bathhouse of his in al-‘Aqul. Food was brought to us, so we ate. Then honey and *tila’* (a type of thickened grape juice/syrup) were brought. Jarir said: "You drink the honey," and he drank the *tila’*. He said: "It is disapproved of coming from you, but it is not disapproved of coming from me." I said: "Which *tila’* is it?" He said: "I used to find its scent like the place of that," and he gestured with his hand toward the furthest circle of people.
