Hadith 15:277
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abu al-Ahwas narrated to us, from Ishaq, from Yazid ibn Abi Maryam, from Anas ibn Malik, who said: We used to prepare nabidh (a drink made by soaking fruit in water) from fresh dates and unripe dates during the time of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. Then, when the prohibition of Khamr (intoxicants) was revealed, he forbade the vessels, so we abandoned both of them.
حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا أبو الأحوص عن إسحاق عن يزيد بن أبي مريم عن أنس بن مالك قال كنا ننبذ الرطب والبسر على عهد رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم فلما نزل تحريم الخمر هذه فنهى عن الأوعية ثم تركناهما
