Hadith 15:340
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Khalaf ibn Khalifah narrated to us, from Abu Hashim, from Nafi’, who said: Ibn Umar had a noble she-camel, and it became ill. It was prescribed to me that I should treat it with wine (khamr), so I treated it. Then I said to Ibn Umar, "They prescribed to me that I should treat it with wine." He said, "Did you do it?" I said, "No," although I had already done it. He said, "As for that, if you had done it, I would have punished you."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا خلف بن خليفة عن أبي هاشم عن نافع قال كانت لابن عمر نجيبة وانها مرضت فوصف لي أن أدوايها بالخمر فداويتها فقلت لابن عمر إنهم وصفوا لي أن أدوايها بالخمر قال ففعلت قلت لا وقد كنت فعلت قال أما إنك لو فعلت لعاقبتك
