Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 17:10

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abu Mu’awiyah narrated to us, from Sa’d ibn Sa’id, from al-Zuhri, from a man from Baliy, who said: I entered with my father to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and he spoke to him privately, excluding me. I said to him: "O my father, what did the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, say to you?" He said: "He said to me: 'If you intend to do a matter, then you must be deliberate until Allah brings you a way out of your matter.'"
