Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 17:1033

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Waki’ narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Qays, from al-Sha’bi, he said: ‘Abdullah ibn Ja’far used to grind musk, then he would place it upon the crown of his head.
