Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 17:1058

Ibn Mahdi narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Imran bin Muslim, from Ali bin Amara, who said: Abu Ayyub came and wanted to spend the night on a roof of ours that had no parapet. He said: "I almost spent the night tonight without having any protection (dhimmah)."
