Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 17:1086

Hafs ibn Ghiyath narrated to us, from Ibn Jurayj, from ‘Ata’, who said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) forbade that a man should travel alone, or that he should sleep in a house alone.
