Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 17:1091

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Waki’ narrated to us, from Abu Janab, from his father, from Ibn Umar, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "There is no contagion, no superstition, and no (evil omen in the) owl." A man stood up to him and said: "O Messenger of Allah, a camel may have mange, and then the camels become mangy because of it." He said: "That is the decree. So who made the first one mangy?"
