Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 17:1161

Ibn Fudayl narrated to us, from al-Hasan ibn Ubayd Allah, from Mughra’ al-‘Abdi, that Shurayh heard the sound of a duff (tambourine). He said: "Indeed, the angels do not enter a house in which there is a duff."
