Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 17:1172

Waki’ narrated to us, from Sufyan, from his father, who said: I mentioned it to Abd al-Rahman [al-Bajali], and he said: Ibn Abbas said: Indeed, Allah loves that His concessions be accepted, just as He loves that His strict commands be performed.
