Affan narrated to us, he said: Abd al-Wahid ibn Ziyad narrated to us, he said: Uthman ibn Hakim narrated to us, he said: Ishaq ibn Abdullah ibn Abi Talha narrated to me, he said: My father narrated to me, he said: Abu Talha said: We were sitting in the courtyards, and the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) passed by us and said: "What is the matter with you and the sittings of the pathways?" We said: "O Messenger of Allah, we are sitting without any harm; we are discussing and talking." He said: "Give the sittings their right." We said: "And what is their right, O Messenger of Allah?" He said: "Lowering the gaze, returning the greeting, and good speech."
