Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 17:1281

Ibn Idris, Ibn ‘Uyaynah, and Abu Khalid al-Ahmar narrated to us, from Ibn ‘Ajlan, from Bukayr ibn ‘Abd Allah ibn al-Ashajj, from Ma‘mar ibn Abi Habibah, from ‘Abd Allah ibn ‘Adi ibn al-Khiyar, who said: ‘Imran said: "Indeed, when the servant becomes arrogant and exceeds his limits, Allah casts him down to the earth and says: 'Be cast away, may Allah cast you away.' So he is great in his own self, but small in the eyes of the people, until he is even more contemptible to the people than a swine."
