Muhammad ibn Bishr and Waki’ narrated to us, they said: Mis’ar narrated to us, he said: Thabit ibn ‘Ubayd narrated to me, from ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Layla, from Khawat ibn Jubayr—and he was a Badrī (a participant in the Battle of Badr)—he said: Sleeping at the beginning of the day is foolishness, in the middle of the day is a habit (or character), and at the end of the day is stupidity.
