Hadith 17:160
'Abdullah ibn Numayr narrated to us, from Hisham, from his father, from 'Abdullah ibn Zam'ah, who said: The Prophet, peace be upon him, delivered a sermon, then he mentioned the women and exhorted [the people] regarding them. He said: "How can one of you whip his wife as he whips a slave-girl, when he may perhaps lie with her at the end of his day?"
حدثنا عبد الله بن نمير عن هشام عن أبيه عن عبد الله بن زمعة قال خطب النبي عليه السلام ثم ذكر النساء فوعظهم فيهن فقال إلام يجلد أحدكم امرأته جلد الأمة لعله أن يضاجعها من آخر يومه
