Hadith 17:175
Mu'adh ibn Mu'adh narrated to us, he said: Habib ibn al-Shahid narrated to us, from 'Abdullah ibn Buraydah: That Mu'adh ibn Jabal brought a mount to the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, for him to ride. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "The owner of the mount has more right to its front." He said: So Mu'adh said: "It is for you, O Prophet of Allah." So the Prophet rode it and let Mu'adh ride behind him.
حدثنا معاذ بن معاذ قال حدثنا حبيب بن شهيد عن عبد الله بن بريدة أن معاذ بن جبل أتى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم بدابة ليركبها فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم رب الدابة أحق بصدرها قال فقال معاذ فهي لك يا نبي الله فركب النبي وأردف معاذا
