Hadith 17:18
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Hafs bin Ghiyath narrated to us, from Dawud, from Makhul, from Abu Thalaba al-Khushani, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Indeed, the most beloved of you to me and the closest of you to me on the Day of Resurrection are those of you with the best character. And indeed, the furthest of you from me and the most hateful of you to me are those of you with the worst character: the chatterboxes, those who speak pretentiously, and those who talk pompously."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا حفص بن غياث عن داود عن مكحول عن أبي ثعلبة الخشني قال قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم إن أحبكم إلي وأقربكم مني يوم القيامة أحاسنكم أخلاقا وإن أبعدكم مني وأبغضكم إلي مساويكم أخلاقا الثرثارون المتشدقون المتفيهقون
