Hadith 17:234
Abu Mu'awiyah narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from Shaqiq, from Zayd ibn Suhan, who said: Umar said: "What prevents you, when you see a man tearing apart the reputations of the people, from changing [denouncing] him?" They said: "We fear his tongue." He said: "That is the closest [state] for you to be witnesses."
حدثنا أبو معاوية عن الأعمش عن شقيق عن زيد بن صوحان قال قال عمر ما يمنعكم إذ رأيتم الرجل يخرق أعراض الناس لا تغيروا عليه قالوا نتقي لسانه قال ذاك أدنى أن تكونوا شهداء
