Hadith 17:238
Waki’ narrated to us, from Mis’ar, from Ibn ‘Awn, who said: A man disparaged another man, and another person responded to him [in his defense]. Umm al-Darda’ said: "I envy you; for whoever defends the honor of his brother, Allah will protect him." Mis’ar said: "[He will protect him] from the blast or the scorching of the Fire."
حدثنا وكيع عن مسعر عن بن عون قال وقع رجل في رجل فرد عليه آخر فقالت أم الدرداء لقد غبطتك إنه من ذب عن عرض أخيه وقاه الله قال مسعر نفح أو لفح النار
