Hadith 17:282
'Isa ibn Yunus narrated to us, from his father, from Tariq, who said: We were sitting with al-Sha'bi when Jarir ibn Yazid came. Al-Sha'bi called for a cushion for him. We said to him, "O Abu 'Amr, we are elders in your presence, yet you called for a cushion for this young man?" He said: "Indeed, the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: 'If a noble person of a people comes to you, then honor him.'"
حدثنا عيسى بن يونس عن أبيه عن طارق قال كنا جلوسا عند الشعبي فجاء جرير بن يزيد فدعا له الشعبي بوسادة فقلنا له يا أبا عمرو نحن عندك أشياخ دعوت لهذا الغلام بوسادة فقال إن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال إذا أتاكم كريم قوم فأكرموه
