Hadith 17:308
Abdullah bin Numayr narrated to us, he said: Al-A’mash narrated to us, from Abdullah bin Murrah, from Masruq, from Abdullah bin Amr, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "There are four [traits] which, whoever possesses them, is a pure hypocrite, and whoever possesses one of them has a trait of hypocrisy until he abandons it: when he speaks, he lies; when he promises, he breaks it; when he makes a covenant, he acts treacherously; and when he disputes, he behaves wickedly."
حدثنا عبد الله بن نمير قال حدثنا الأعمش عن عبد الله بن مرة عن مسروق عن عبد الله بن عمرو قال قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم أربع من كن فيه فهو منافق خالص ومن كان فيه خلة منهن كانت فيه خلة من نفاق حتى يدعها إذا حدث كذب وإذا وعد أخلف وإذا عاهد غدر وإذا خاصم فجر
