Hadith 17:381
Kathir ibn Hisham narrated to us, from Ja'far, from Maymun, that a man greeted Salman al-Farsi, saying, "Peace be upon you, and the mercy of Allah the Exalted, and His blessings." Salman said, "That is enough for you," then he returned the greeting to the one who had spoken. Then the man intended to add more. The man said to him, "Do you recognize me, O Abu Abd Allah?" He replied, "As for my soul, it has recognized your soul."
حدثنا كثير بن هشام عن جعفر عن ميمون أن رجلا سلم على سلمان الفارسي فقال السلام عليكم ورحمة الله تعالى وبركاته فقال سلمان حسبك ثم رد على الذي قال ثم أراد أخرى فقال له الرجل أتعرفني يا أبا عبد الله فقال أما روحي فقد عرف روحك
