Hadith 17:391
Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated to us, from Shu'bah, from al-A'mash, from Ibrahim, from al-Aswad, who said: 'Abdullah said: "If you meet 'Umar"—or a word similar to it—"then convey my greeting of peace to him." So I met him and conveyed the greeting of peace to him, and he said: "Upon him, or upon him be peace and the mercy of Allah."
حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد عن شعبة عن الأعمش عن إبراهيم عن الأسود قال قال عبد الله إذا لقيت عمر أو كلمة نحوها فأقرئه السلام فلقيته فأقرأته السلام فقال عليه أو وعليه السلام ورحمة الله
