Hadith 17:418
Waki’ narrated to us, from Shu’bah, from Ghalib, who said: I said to al-Sha’bi, "Indeed, Ibn Sirin used to dislike handshaking." He said: So al-Sha’bi said, "The companions of the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) used to shake hands. And when one of them arrived from a journey, he would embrace his companion."
حدثنا وكيع عن شعبة عن غالب قال قلت للشعبي إن بن سيرين كان يكره المصافحة قال فقال الشعبي كان أصحاب رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يتصافحون وإذا قدم أحدهم من سفر عانق صاحبه
