Hadith 17:449
Isma'il ibn 'Ayyash narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Ziyad al-Alhani and Shurahbil ibn Muslim, from Abu Umamah, that he would not pass by a Muslim, nor a Jew, nor a Christian, except that he would initiate the greeting (salam) to him.
حدثنا إسماعيل بن عياش عن محمد بن زياد الألهاني وشرحبيل بن مسلم عن أبي أمامة أنه كان لا يمر بمسلم ولا يهودي ولا نصراني إلا بدأه بالسلام
