Hadith 17:450
Isma'il ibn 'Ayyash narrated to us, from Ibn 'Ajlan, that 'Abdullah, Abu al-Darda', and Fadalah ibn 'Ubayd used to initiate the people of shirk (polytheists) with the greeting (salam).
حدثنا إسماعيل بن عياش عن بن عجلان أن عبد الله وابا الدرداء وفضالة بن عبيد كانوا يبدأون أهل الشرك بالسلام
