Hadith 17:468
Mu'tamir ibn Sulayman narrated to us, from 'Abd al-Majid, who said: It used to be disliked for a man to say, "May Allah grant you life (Hayyak Allah)," unless he says it with the greeting of peace (Salam).
حدثنا معتمر بن سليمان عن عبد المجيد قال كان يكره أن يقول الرجل حياك الله الا أن يقول بالسلام
