Hadith 17:469
Husayn ibn ‘Ali and Ibn ‘Uyaynah narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Suqah, who said: Maymun ibn Mihran came to us, and a man said to him, "May Allah greet you (hayyaka Allah)." He said to him, "Do not say it like this; this is the greeting of the youth. Rather, say: 'May Allah greet you with peace (hayyakum Allah bi-s-salam).'"
حدثنا حسين بن علي وبن عيينة عن محمد بن سوقة قال جاءنا ميمون بن مهران فقال له رجل حياك الله فقال لا تقل هكذا هذه تحية الشاب ولكن قل حياكم الله بالسلام
