Ibn Idris narrated to us, from Shu'bah, from Thabit, who said: I said to Ibn Umar, "Do you forbid the nabidh (fermented drink) of the jar?" He said, "They claim that." I said, "Did you hear it from the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace?" He said, "They claim that."
