Hadith 17:519
Muhammad ibn Abd Allah al-Asadi narrated to us, he said: Ma'qal narrated to us, from Abd al-Karim, he said: When Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz would enter a house, he would say: "In the name of Allah, and praise be to Allah, and there is no power except by Allah, and peace be upon the Prophet of Allah. O Allah, open for me the doors of Your mercy, and cause me to enter a truthful entrance, and cause me to exit a truthful exit, and grant me from Yourself a supporting authority. And grant me from Yourself mercy; indeed, You are the Bestower. O Allah, protect me from above me, that I be snatched away, and from beneath my feet, that I be swallowed up, and from my right and from my left, from the accursed Satan."
حدثنا محمد بن عبد الله الأسدي قال حدثنا معقل عن عبد الكريم قال كان عمر بن عبد العزيز إذا دخل بيتا قال بسم الله والحمد لله ولا قوة إلا بالله والسلام على نبي الله اللهم افتح لي أبواب رحمتك وأدخلني مدخل صدق وأخرجني مخرج صدق واجعل لي من لدنك سلطانا نصيرا وهب لي من لدنك رحمة إنك أنت الوهاب اللهم احفظني من فوقي أن أختطف ومن تحت رجلي أن يخسف بي وعن يميني وعن شمالي من الشيطان الرجيم
